I sat by my grandmother’s side for the last 36 hours of her life. She was nearly 101, an artist, and my person. Losing her was gut-wrenching, but I’m grateful I was there as she passed. She loved butterflies, and whenever I see one, I feel her presence and remember there is more beyond memory.
