I’ve loved butterflies my whole life. Monarchs remind me of my friend Melani, who once slowed down to walk with me and together we saw a cloud of monarchs no one else saw. Tiger swallowtails remind me of my grandpa Ken—when we scattered his ashes, one flew over us and I knew it was him.
