In memory of my son Joshua’s metamorphosis in 2005. His friends knew him as Blue. He left this world suddenly at 19, and this year marks 20 years without him—longer than he lived. Being his mother was a gift. His life and loss taught me compassion, grief, love, and how to keep growing.
