I named this butterfly “Gold Standard” for my boyfriend Steve, who died in a motorcycle accident at 34. We bonded over our blue trucks, and we fell in love fast. He was kind, honest, hardworking, funny, and sweet—the gold standard of a man. I’m grateful for our time, and I’ll honour him by saying yes to every adventure.
