My butterfly is named Charon, after the ferryman of souls. An Eastern Swallowtail stayed in my kitchen for three days after my niece Katherine died at 8 days old, then followed us to her funeral. Ever since, one appears whenever grief hits. It feels like her spirit saying hello. I’d love to be part of this project.
